Concert at Ohio University

Late notice, but I just found out that my piece, “Ends on A”, for woodwind quartet and piano, will be performed by Ohio University’s New Music Ensemble tomorrow, April 5th. If you’re in the area, consider stopping by! Also on the program will be Terry Riley’s “In C”, which is a must-C. …Get it? …I’m sorry.

Info about the event is available here.

Joining the MusicSpoke Roster

I’ve been waiting to post until my profile went live, and now it that it is, I can! I’m so excited to announce that I’ve recently joined the roster at MusicSpoke. MusicSpoke is a wonderfully innovative sheet music distribution platform created “by musicians, for musicians”. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to promote my scores to a larger network of conductors and performers, and to be part of such a welcoming, talented team. I have two pieces up at the moment, and will add more over the coming months. I hope you will visit my artist profile to see the pieces I have available, and I will keep you posted! I look forward to working with the MusicSpoke community.

Scriabin Response Project Premiere Concert

Last night, pianist Kristofer Rucinski performed the premiere concert of his Scriabin Response Project, in which he commissioned twelve composers to respond to Alexander Scriabin’s 12 Etudes, Op. 8. While I was not able to attend, I heard that the concert went wonderfully. Not only did Kris perform all 24 pieces, but he memorized them as well! The second part of this project will be a studio album recording– I greatly look forward to hearing the results and sharing them with you.

For now, have a listen to the Scriabin etude to which I was asked to respond:
